Mentoring

The Office of Faculty Development is committed to promoting effective mentoring for faculty success and well-being. Mentoring can benefit junior faculty as they pursue their research program, hone pedagogical skills, and cultivate their professional reputation. The OFD facilitates the Triad Mentoring Program which pairs two junior faculty with a senior faculty mentor from a related field. Mentoring triads meet regularly throughout the academic year to discuss issues and focus on career success.

The goals of the Triad Mentoring Program include

  • Supporting tenure-track junior faculty in their professional development towards promotion and tenure.
  • Enhancing faculty retention.
  • Promoting a culture of well-being and work-life balance among faculty.
  • Fostering a sense of belonging and career-satisfaction among faculty.
  • Promoting cross-cultural mentoring and support for all faculty.

If you have questions about the program, please contact the OFD (ofd@).
