The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) facilitates affinity groups that bring together faculty who share common interests or identities for the purpose of community building, promoting equity, inclusion, and interdisciplinary engagement, and fostering well-being. The affinity groups meet informally throughout the academic year. Affinity groups are open to all T/TT and Teaching track faculty, and participation is not restricted based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, national origin, age, or disability.
This year the OFD is starting two new affinity groups: one for faculty with young children and one for LGBTQIA+ faculty.
If you are interested in joining either (or both) of these groups or registering for upcoming affinity group events, please contact Julia Amborski (jambor@).
If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Jonathan Peterson, Associate Director of the OFD (jp188@).
